School for Freedom began in 2007 as we looked around for the best options to provide a quality education for our children. Over time, it has evolved into a way to share our love of science learning and teaching with others in our community.

Mission
To provide engaging hands-on and lab based experiences in a community of learners that build the foundation for scientific excellence.
Our Teachers
Betsy Kempter has over 15 years of teaching experience in diverse settings as well as 8 years of laboratory experience. She has an ScB in Biology from Brown University and an MS from UNC-CH in Physiology.

Bryan Kempter has a BA from Duke University and a JD from UNC-CH. He has extensive experience in Building and Engineering, Real Estate Law, and Business Administration.
